Many people spend their lives chasing approval, believing they’ll finally have peace once everyone accepts them. But approval is fragile because it depends on people. Acceptance through Christ is unshakable because it depends on God. When your identity rests in God’s love, you are free to serve without striving, love without fear, and obey without needing applause. The pressure to prove yourself begins to lose its grip because you already know you belong. God’s approval was never something you earned. It is a gift made possible through Jesus Christ.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works…”
Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
Father,
Free me from the need to seek approval from others. Help me rest confidently in Your love and live each day with the quiet confidence that comes from belonging to You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
