Hurt is that deep ache that shows up when life doesn’t go the way you hoped. It’s the sting of loss, disappointment, and rejection that makes us cry out, “God, why? Why me?”
But here’s the truth we often miss: In the Christian journey, hurt is never wasted.
Hurt is actually where healing begins. It softens what has grown hard in us. It makes space for God to be God and do His greatest work in our lives.
Without hurt, we never learn how deeply God can comfort us. We never discover the strength we have to lean fully into Him.
If you’re hurting today, hear this: You’re not breaking. You’re being built.
While you wait in this painful season, God is doing something powerful. He’s shaping you, strengthening you, and preparing you for what’s ahead.
Your hurt has purpose. Your waiting has meaning. And God is with you in every moment of it.
đź“– Reflection Question:
Where are you feeling hurt right now? How might God be softening your heart to make space for His healing work?
🙏🏾 Prayer:
Lord, meet me in my hurt. Soften what has grown hard. Teach me to lean into You when the pain feels too heavy. Remind me that I’m not breaking—I’m being built by Your loving hands. Amen.
