Welcome to Our Blog
Welcome HOPErs!
Hi there, and welcome to While You Wait Ministries. Before you scroll to the next thing, take a breath. Your waiting season is not wasted time—it's a divine classroom where God is preparing you for what's ahead. Here, we gather to remember that hope still works, healing still happens, and you're not waiting alone.
You're right where you're meant to be. Let's wait well together.
With love and expectancy,
Rev. Dr. Lael C. Melville

Gratitude is not about ignoring what is broken. It is about walking toward what is being rebuilt.
We all face seasons when life feels uncertain and the path forward is unclear. Gratitude becomes the steady hand that keeps us from drifting too far into despair. It realigns our hearts with God’s direction, reminding us that He is still writing the story even when the next chapter is not visible.
This week’s reflection invites us to shift our focus from what has been lost to what God is rebuilding. Hope is not found in pretending everything is fine, but in trusting that every small step taken in faith moves us closer to His purpose.
When we stare only at the wound, pain becomes our compass. It is easy to let disappointment or loss dictate our next move. Yet when we lift our eyes to see God’s quiet work, hope becomes our map. Gratitude gently resets our direction and reminds us that God is still guiding the journey.
You can honor what was lost without living stuck in it. Divine direction is not about rushing ahead; it is about walking faithfully one step at a time. Every thank-You whispered in struggle is a signal to heaven that you are still trusting. Those moments of gratitude become sacred breadcrumbs that lead you back to peace.
Waiting well requires a grateful heart. Gratitude anchors you when you cannot see the full road ahead. It keeps you walking when logic says to stop. God’s direction often unfolds through small acts of trust, not grand revelations. Keep listening, keep thanking, and keep moving. He is steering you even now.
Father, turn my eyes from what is shattered to what You are shaping.
Let gratitude be the steering wheel that keeps me pointed toward Your will.
Even when I cannot see the whole road, help me keep walking in faith.
Thank You for guiding my steps and rebuilding what once felt lost. Amen.
🕊️ Write down three ways God has rebuilt something in your life that once felt lost.
Reflect on how gratitude changed your direction in those moments. Share one of them inside the HOPErs Community to remind someone that God is still working behind the scenes.
