Healing Begins With Honesty

Monday May 18: Prayer & Perspective

I want to start this week by saying something I wish someone had told me sooner. You cannot heal what you refuse to name.

So many of us were taught to move on. Push through. Keep it together. Stay quiet about the hard parts. But that is not what God asks of you. He invites truth. Not polished truth. Not the version you would post online. Real truth. The kind that says, “this hurt me.” “This confused me.” “This stayed with me longer than I expected it to.”

Naming your pain is not weakness. It is the beginning of your healing. And here is what I want you to hold onto today: God meets honesty with care. Every single time.

SCRIPTURE

Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:8

PRAYER

Father, give me the courage to be honest about what I feel. Meet me in the truth. Amen.
