Hey friend,
This may sound heavier than usual, but I think it is important.
Your kindness matters more than you know.
There are people around you carrying silent battles. People functioning while grieving. People smiling while exhausted. People questioning whether they can keep holding everything together.
And sometimes one act of kindness becomes the thing that helps somebody make it through another day.
Not because you are the Savior.
You are not.
But because God often uses people to remind other people they are seen.
A kind word. A thoughtful check-in. A moment of patience. A genuine compliment. A prayer. A pause long enough to notice somebody is struggling.
That matters.
We never fully know what someone else is carrying privately. Which is why kindness should never be treated like weakness or softness.
Kindness is strength with compassion attached to it.
And honestly, the world feels heavy enough already. People are carrying grief, division, fear, financial stress, family challenges, loneliness, disappointment, and fatigue in ways we cannot always see on the surface.
So when you choose gentleness, patience, encouragement, or care, you are pushing back against some of that heaviness.
That is holy work.
Do not underestimate how God may use your presence, your words, or your kindness to steady somebody else today.
“Be kind and compassionate to one another.” — Ephesians 4:32
Father, make me more aware of the people around me. Let my words, actions, and attitude reflect Your care in practical ways. Amen.
Intentionally encourage one person today who may need reminding that they matter.
You may never know the full impact your kindness has on someone else — but God does. Come into HOPErs and tell us about a time someone’s kindness steadied you when you needed it most. Your story might be exactly what another woman needs to hear today.
