Welcome HOPErs!
Hi there, and welcome to While You Wait Ministries. Before you scroll to the next thing, take a breath. Your waiting season is not wasted time—it's a divine classroom where God is preparing you for what's ahead. Here, we gather to remember that hope still works, healing still happens, and you're not waiting alone.
You're right where you're meant to be. Let's wait well together.
With love and expectancy,
Rev. Dr. Lael C. Melville

Hope is not fragile. Hope is strength breathing inside you. It rises even when life feels heavy. It stretches even when circumstances stay the same. It carries you when your own courage feels thin.
Advent reminds us that hope is not passive. It does something in us.
Hope lifts your chin when discouragement wants your head down.
Hope steadies your hands when you feel unsure of the next step.
Hope whispers, “Keep going,” even when nothing around you seems to justify the push.
Hope is not pretending things are fine. It is recognizing that God is present inside every moment, even the ones that make no sense. When we look for Him there, hope starts to breathe again.
Scripture anchors us in this truth.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him.” Romans 15:13.
You do not generate hope on your own. God is the One who fills. Your part is to trust. His part is to strengthen.
God, breathe Your hope into the parts of me that feel worn and discouraged. Fill me with joy that does not depend on circumstance and peace that cannot be shaken.
Speak one hopeful sentence out loud today, even before your feelings catch up. Let your words open the door for hope to move.
