Dear Friend,

This week, I want to invite you into something quieter than answers and gentler than solutions. I want to invite you to begin without fixing.

Psalm 34:18 reminds us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted. Not the polished. Not the put-together. The honest. The weary. The ones who are carrying more than they planned to.

Peace does not start in the streets. It starts in the soul.

I recently reflected on how some of the most powerful movements for peace were never loud. Monks walking slowly and quietly. No signs. No shouting. Just steady steps. And somehow, the world shifted.

That image matters for us in our waiting seasons. We often think peace will come once things change around us. Once the situation improves. Once the hurt eases. But peace begins much closer than that. It begins within.

God does not ask us to improve ourselves before we come to Him. He asks us to show up.

If you are tired, unsure, stretched thin, or caring more than you expected to, you are welcome here. You do not have to arrive healed to begin healing. You do not have to feel strong to practice peace.

What we are practicing in this season is breath and presence as preparation. Not just preparation for healing, but preparation for peace.

So right now, wherever you are, take one slow, steady breath. Let your shoulders drop. Let your heart settle. Let God meet you exactly as you are.

While you wait, peace is already closer than you think.

Watch This Week’s While You Wait Wednesday

If you would like to sit with this reflection more deeply, I invite you to watch this week’s While You Wait Wednesday video. It is a gentle pause, a moment to breathe, and a reminder that you do not have to fix anything to begin.

I am praying that this moment of breath and presence becomes a small but sacred turning point in your week.
