Welcome HOPErs!

Hi there, and welcome to While You Wait Ministries. Before you scroll to the next thing, take a breath. Your waiting season is not wasted time—it's a divine classroom where God is preparing you for what's ahead. Here, we gather to remember that hope still works, healing still happens, and you're not waiting alone.
You're right where you're meant to be. Let's wait well together.

With love and expectancy,

You Were Never Meant to Force It: Finding Strength That Actually Lasts

There’s a kind of exhaustion that doesn’t come from doing too much. It comes from relying on the wrong source.

Burnout happens when we push and push and push until there’s nothing left. We white-knuckle our way through hard seasons, tell ourselves to be tougher, try to manufacture resilience on our own, and then wonder why we’re running on empty. The truth is, the problem isn’t your workload. It’s your power source.

In this week’s While You Wait Wednesday, Dr. Lael shares something worth sitting with: there’s a difference between burnout strength and God-centered strength.

Watch WUWW with Dr Lael ->

Burnout strength is the kind that drains. It’s striving, perfecting, and controlling your way through whatever is in front of you. It feels productive, maybe even faithful, until the day it doesn’t. And when it runs out, it runs all the way out.

God-centered strength is different. It renews. It sustains. It doesn’t require you to harden yourself or pretend you’re fine. You can stay soft and still endure. You can be honest about the weight and still keep going, because you’re not carrying it alone.

Joshua 1:9 says it plainly: “Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

His presence is the source. Not your performance. Not your persistence. Not how much you’ve prayed or how perfectly you’re holding it together. His presence.

That’s the invitation in the waiting. To stop relying on a source that runs dry, and to lean into a strength that genuinely renews you.

If you’ve been running on empty, this one’s for you. Watch this week’s message and let it be a real moment to exhale.

This week’s prayer: God, teach me about what lasts. Help me stop leaning on my own efforts and start leaning on You. My strength comes from You, and You will sustain me while I wait.
