PERSPECTIVE

Most of us enjoy seeing the finished product. We enjoy answered prayers, completed goals, healed relationships, and clear direction. What we struggle with is the process.

The process often feels slow. It includes waiting, uncertainty, setbacks, and questions. It asks us to trust God when we cannot yet see the outcome.

That can be difficult.

We live in a culture that values quick results and immediate answers. Yet many of God’s greatest works take time. A tree does not grow overnight. Character is not developed in a day. Deep faith is rarely formed in comfortable seasons.

Friend, if you find yourself frustrated by the pace of your journey, remember that God is often doing more than one thing at a time. While you are focused on the outcome, He may be focused on preparing you for the outcome.

The waiting may be strengthening your faith. The delay may be developing your patience. The challenge may be teaching you dependence on Him.

Do not confuse a slow process with an absent God.

The same God who gave you the promise is faithfully working through the process.

Trust Him.

Trust what He is doing.

Trust what He is developing.

And stay steady.

SCRIPTURE

“And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” — James 1:4

PRAYER

Father, help me trust You when the process feels longer than I expected. Give me patience when I want quick answers and faith when I cannot see what You are doing. Amen.
