Prayer & Perspective

Tuesday, August 11, 2026

Our minds are constantly being formed by what we consume. Conversations, headlines, social media, entertainment, and even our own self-talk all shape the way we think.

Paul challenges us to become intentional about what occupies our minds. This does not mean pretending life is easy. It means choosing to dwell on what is true rather than what is merely loud.

When God’s truth becomes the loudest voice in your life, peace begins to replace anxiety and hope begins to overcome fear.

Ask yourself today: What have I been feeding my mind?

If the answer leaves you discouraged, remember that today is a new opportunity to fill your heart and mind with God’s promises.

Small, daily choices create lasting spiritual transformation.

“Finally… whatever is true… whatever is admirable… think about such things.”

Philippians 4:8 (NIV)

Lord,

Guard my mind from anything that pulls me away from Your truth.

Help me fill my thoughts with what is good, honorable, and life-giving. Teach me to recognize Your voice above every other voice competing for my attention.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What have you been feeding your mind, and what truth from God’s Word can you choose to focus on today?

Take a few quiet moments to write your response in this week’s Prayer & Perspective Companion Journal.
