The most powerful ministry you’ll have today may begin with simply noticing someone everyone else has overlooked. Sometimes our greatest ministry is simply showing up. People rarely remember impressive words, but they never forget genuine compassion. Jesus noticed those everyone else overlooked. He stopped for the hurting, welcomed the forgotten, and loved without conditions. We are sent to do the same. The world doesn’t just need more information. It needs more compassion. When we slow down long enough to truly see people, we create space for God to work through us in remarkable ways.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2 (NIV)
Father,
Give me eyes to notice those who are hurting. Help me slow down enough to care, listen, encourage, and serve. Let Your compassion flow through my words and actions so others experience Your love through me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reach out to someone today who may be lonely, discouraged, or carrying a heavy burden. A simple call, text, listening ear, or prayer could make an eternal difference. Write your compassion plan in your Companion Journal, then follow through with one intentional act of care.
