PERSPECTIVE

One of the hardest parts of following God is wanting tomorrow’s answers while He gives us today’s assignment.

Notice that Scripture doesn’t describe God’s Word as a stadium light illuminating miles ahead. It is a lamp for our feet. A lamp provides just enough light for the next step.

Perhaps that’s because God is more interested in growing our faith than satisfying our curiosity. If He showed us everything at once, we might trust the plan more than the Planner.

Faith is built one obedient step at a time.

There will always be things you don’t yet understand, prayers that remain unanswered, and doors that haven’t opened. But there is also enough light for today. God’s Word will never fail to illuminate what you need to do next.

Don’t underestimate today’s small step of obedience. It may become tomorrow’s testimony of God’s faithfulness.

SCRIPTURE

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” — Psalm 119:105 (NIV)

PRAYER

Father,

Thank You for lighting my path one step at a time. When I become impatient or uncertain, remind me that You have never stopped leading Your children. Give me the courage to trust today’s light instead of demanding tomorrow’s answers. Strengthen my faith as I walk with You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
