There are moments when giving up feels reasonable. You have waited longer than expected, endured more than you planned, and remained faithful without seeing the outcome you hoped for. Then Galatians 6:9 gives us a powerful promise: “At the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” There is a harvest connected to perseverance. That does not mean every situation will end exactly the way you imagined. Sometimes the harvest is the answer you prayed for.
Sometimes it is wisdom, strength, discernment, peace, maturity, or a new opportunity you could not have recognized before the wait. But faithfulness in God is never wasted. Discouragement will tell you: Nothing is changing. Why keep going? Faith answers: I may not see the outcome yet, but I know the God I am trusting. So keep going, not because you know exactly how the story ends, but because you know Who is with you in the middle of it.
You have come too far to let exhaustion have the final word. Do not quit in the wait. God is still working, and your story is still unfolding.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
Lord,
When I am tempted to quit, strengthen me. When I cannot see the harvest, help me remain faithful to the seed. Give me endurance rooted in You rather than my own strength. Help me keep praying, believing, and doing what You have called me to do. I surrender the timing and the outcome to You. Today, I choose perseverance over quitting.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
