Restoration Is Still Possible

I want to end this week with something I need you to hold onto:

Restoration is still possible for you.

Naomi started this story by telling people to call her Mara. Bitter. Empty. She said, “I went away full and the Lord has brought me back empty.”

That was her honest assessment of her own life.

And it was not wrong. She had lost so much. The pain was real. The grief was legitimate.

But that was not the end of her story.

By the time the book of Ruth closes, Naomi is holding a baby boy. The women around her are saying, “Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer.” They are telling her this child will renew her life and sustain her.

The same woman who said she was empty is now full again.

Not because her losses were erased. Not because grief stopped being real. But because God was still writing her story, even when she thought the ending had already been decided.

Friend, I do not know what has made you feel empty this season. I do not know what losses you have named or what bitterness you have quietly carried. But I do know that bitterness is not your ending.

God is not finished.

The fact that you are still here, still reading, still seeking, still trying to hold onto faith when it would be easier to let it go — that tells me something.

Your story is still being written.

And the God who turned Naomi’s mourning into fullness is the same God who is working in your situation right now.

Do not give up before the ending.

“The Lord has not stopped showing his kindness to the living and the dead.” — Ruth 2:20

Prayer

Father, I trust You with the parts of my story that feel empty right now. Remind me that restoration is still in Your nature, still in Your power, and still possible for me. Amen.

Today’s invitation: Write down one thing you are still believing God for, even if hope feels fragile. Hold it. Pray over it. Do not let go of it today.
