Welcome HOPErs!
Hi there, and welcome to While You Wait Ministries. Before you scroll to the next thing, take a breath. Your waiting season is not wasted time—it's a divine classroom where God is preparing you for what's ahead. Here, we gather to remember that hope still works, healing still happens, and you're not waiting alone.
You're right where you're meant to be. Let's wait well together.
With love and expectancy,
Rev. Dr. Lael C. Melville

Hey friend,
New month, new word: steady.
Not flashy. Not dramatic. Just steady.
I think we sometimes wait for a big sign before we believe we’re moving forward. A breakthrough. A door swinging wide open. A moment where everything suddenly makes sense. But most of life isn’t built in big moments. It’s built in steady ones.
Showing up again tomorrow.
Praying again even when yesterday’s prayer didn’t get answered the way you hoped.
Doing the next right thing instead of waiting until you can see the whole staircase.
That’s not boring. That’s faithful.
We just spent a month talking about how help is holy, how you weren’t meant to carry everything alone. And if you let people in, if you let God meet you in your tired places, this month is the natural next step: staying steady in what He’s building in you.
Steady doesn’t mean nothing changes. It means you don’t quit when the pace feels slow or the season feels quiet. It means peace becomes something you choose, not something you wait to stumble into.
This month, we’re going to talk about consistency that doesn’t burn you out, peace that doesn’t depend on your circumstances, and next steps that don’t require you to have the whole plan figured out.
You don’t need a five-year plan today.
You just need the next faithful step.
Scripture for today: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9
Prayer: Father, teach me what it means to stay steady. Not rushed, not stagnant, just faithful. Give me peace for today and courage for the next step. Amen.
Today’s action: Name one small, steady habit you want to carry into July. Just one.
Waiting is never wasted when God is in it.
Love, Dr. Lael
If this spoke to you today, you don’t have to sit with it alone. Come be part of a community of women who are learning to stay steady together, one day at a time.
