Don’t Despise Small Beginnings

Perspective

Most people enjoy the fruit but forget about the seed.

We admire strong faith, healthy relationships, successful ministries, thriving businesses, and confident leaders. What we often overlook is that every one of those things began small.

Small beginnings require courage because they rarely come with guarantees. They often require us to move forward before we have all the answers. They invite us to trust God before we can see the outcome.

That can feel uncomfortable.

We often tell ourselves that we’ll start when we have more time, more money, more confidence, or more certainty. Yet many of God’s greatest invitations begin with a simple act of obedience right where we are.

The enemy would like you to believe that small efforts don’t matter. God says otherwise.

Every meaningful journey starts with a first step.

Every healthy habit starts with one decision.

Every answered prayer starts with one conversation with God.

Friend, don’t let fear, pride, or perfectionism keep you from beginning.

God is not asking you to take ten steps today.

He is asking you to take one.

And when you trust Him with that step, He will show you the next one.

Stay steady.

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” — Zechariah 4:10

Prayer

Father, give me courage to begin where I am. Help me trust You with small steps and small beginnings, knowing that You are able to do far more than I can see today. Amen.
