Welcome HOPErs!
Hi there, and welcome to While You Wait Ministries. Before you scroll to the next thing, take a breath. Your waiting season is not wasted time—it's a divine classroom where God is preparing you for what's ahead. Here, we gather to remember that hope still works, healing still happens, and you're not waiting alone.
You're right where you're meant to be. Let's wait well together.
With love and expectancy,
Rev. Dr. Lael C. Melville

As we close out this week, I want to remind you of something easy to forget: consistency rarely feels significant while you’re living it.
Showing up to pray again. Choosing patience again. Extending grace again. Doing the right thing when no one is watching, again. None of that feels like a headline. It feels ordinary. Repetitive, even.
But ordinary, repeated faithfulness is exactly what God uses to build something lasting.
We tend to celebrate the moment the harvest comes in, but we forget the quiet consistency it took to get there. The showing up when it was inconvenient. The staying faithful when nothing seemed to be changing. The choosing God again on the days that felt the same as the day before.
Friend, if this week felt unremarkable, that does not mean it was wasted. Some of the most important work God does in us happens in weeks that don’t feel like much of anything.
Consistency is quiet.
But it is not small.
It is the foundation everything else gets built on.
Stay steady.
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” — Luke 16:10
Father, thank You for the quiet, consistent moments You are using in my life, even when they don’t feel significant. Help me trust that faithfulness in small things matters to You. Amen.
Look back over this week and name one ordinary moment of faithfulness you almost overlooked. Thank God for it.
The HOPErs community celebrates the quiet, consistent faithfulness that so often goes unnoticed. We see you, and we’d love to walk this journey with you.
