Strength Does Not Cancel Softness

If you grew up the way many of us did, strength was the currency that kept you safe. You learned to handle things. You learned not to fall apart. And somewhere along the way, that strength started to cost you the softer parts of yourself.

Here is what I want you to hear today. God is not asking you to pick one. He designed you to carry both.

Strength is what allows you to stand. Softness is what allows you to feel. You do not have to harden to be secure. When His presence is the thing holding you up, you can stay open and grounded at the same time. You can be steady without being closed.

That is the kind of woman God is forming in you.

Father, help me hold both strength and softness without fear. Keep my heart open and steady. Amen.
