The world has a loud picture of courage. It looks like raised voices, hard lines, and never backing down. And if that is the only version you have ever seen, you might think you do not have it.
You do.
God’s courage often moves quietly. It looks like staying in the room when you want to leave. It looks like telling the truth without raising your voice. It looks like choosing not to shut down even when shutting down would feel easier.
You do not have to be loud to stand firm. Gentle courage is still courage. And honestly, sometimes it is the harder kind.

Father, teach me to walk in courage that is steady and grounded. Let my strength be guided by You. Amen.
Pick one moment today where you would normally react with intensity, and respond calmly instead. Watch what God does with that small act of trust.
Quiet courage is hard to keep building on your own. Inside our HOPErs community, we get to practice this together, in real conversations and real moments. If you have been wanting a softer place to be brave, this is your invitation. Come on in.
Prayer & Perspective gives you five minutes a day. The Companion Journal gives you a place to hold onto what those minutes stir up.
