Prayer & Perspective

I know you are capable. I know people depend on you. I know you have survived things that should have broken you. And because you have learned how to keep going, people sometimes assume you do not need support.

But being strong and being supported are not opposites.

Some of you are carrying responsibilities, grief, pressure, caregiving, leadership, financial concerns, parenting, disappointment, or exhaustion quietly. You are answering emails, showing up to meetings, taking care of everybody else, and still trying to hold yourself together at the same time.

And I think sometimes we confuse surviving with thriving.

Just because you can carry it does not mean you were designed to carry it alone.

God built community on purpose. He built friendship on purpose. He built support on purpose. Even Jesus allowed people to minister to Him, pray with Him, feed Him, and walk beside Him.

Help is not weakness.

Help is holy.

And sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stop pretending you are fine when you are tired in places nobody can see.

You do not have to earn rest. You do not have to earn care. You do not have to prove your value by carrying more weight than necessary.

Sometimes God answers prayers through people. Through conversations. Through support. Through somebody simply saying, “I can help.”

Do not miss the gift because you are too uncomfortable to receive it.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

Father, help me stop confusing strength with isolation. Teach me to receive support without guilt or shame. Send the right people, and help me have courage to let them in. Amen.

Tell one trusted person where you genuinely need support right now. Not the polished version of the answer. The honest one.

You do not have to figure out how to receive help on your own either. Our HOPErs community is full of women learning the same thing, how to let people in, how to ask for what they need, how to carry burdens together instead of alone. If anything here landed with you today, come keep walking with us. We would love to have you.
