Welcome to Our Blog

Welcome HOPErs!

Hi there, and welcome to While You Wait Ministries. Before you scroll to the next thing, take a breath. Your waiting season is not wasted time—it's a divine classroom where God is preparing you for what's ahead. Here, we gather to remember that hope still works, healing still happens, and you're not waiting alone.
You're right where you're meant to be. Let's wait well together.

With love and expectancy,
Rev. Dr. Lael C. Melville

You Are Not Alone in This Season

Have you ever felt alone in a season and couldn’t quite explain why?

Not isolated from people, but just… unseen. Like everyone around you is moving forward and somehow you got left behind in a quiet, invisible waiting room.

Loneliness can feel loud like that. It can make you believe you’ve been forgotten. That God is busy, that your prayers aren’t landing, that somehow your season is the one he’s not paying attention to.

But here’s what’s true, and Dr. Lael said it plainly in this week’s While You Wait Wednesday:

God said, “I am with you always.” Not sometimes. Not only when things are good. Always.

Even in the waiting. Even in the silence. Even when no one around you fully understands what you’re carrying.

His presence is not based on how you feel. It’s based on his faithfulness.

That’s worth sitting with for a minute.

You may feel alone right now. But feeling alone and being alone are two very different things. Heaven is near. God is present. And help is closer than you think.

You are seen. You are covered. And you are not alone in this.

Watch this week’s full While You Wait Wednesday message below and let Dr. Lael speak to where you are today.

If this encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it this week.

And if you’re looking for a community of women who get it, who are holding a lot themselves and still showing up together, come find us. We’re waiting for you.
