Welcome HOPErs!
Hi there, and welcome to While You Wait Ministries. Before you scroll to the next thing, take a breath. Your waiting season is not wasted time—it's a divine classroom where God is preparing you for what's ahead. Here, we gather to remember that hope still works, healing still happens, and you're not waiting alone.
You're right where you're meant to be. Let's wait well together.
With love and expectancy,
Rev. Dr. Lael C. Melville

A new month can make us feel like we need a fresh plan, a better strategy, or a whole new version of ourselves. Sometimes change is necessary. More often, what we need is steady faithfulness.
Maybe you didn’t accomplish everything you hoped for last month. Maybe some prayers remain unanswered. Maybe your goals are taking longer than expected. Maybe you’re carrying disappointment because life hasn’t unfolded the way you imagined.
Friend, don’t overlook the power of staying steady.
God isn’t asking you to transform overnight. He’s inviting you to trust Him for one more day, one more prayer, one more act of obedience, one more step forward.
The world celebrates dramatic breakthroughs, but God often works most deeply through daily faithfulness. Consistency may feel ordinary. It rarely earns applause or instant results. Yet it creates the foundation for what God is preparing next.
Don’t let comparison steal your peace. Someone else’s timeline is not your assignment. Don’t let busyness replace purpose. And don’t let disappointment convince you that God has stopped working. He hasn’t.
A new month doesn’t change who God is. He is faithful, present, and actively at work.
Stay steady.
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains — where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” — Psalm 121:1–2
Father, thank You that Your faithfulness never changes. When progress feels slow and prayers seem unanswered, strengthen my heart to keep trusting You. Remove comparison, distraction, and discouragement, and help me take the next faithful step You place before me today. Amen.
Identify the one task, conversation, or commitment God is calling you to honor today — and complete it before bedtime.
If you’ve been faithfully showing up while wondering whether it matters, you’re not alone. The HOPErs community is filled with women learning to trust God through ordinary days and steady seasons. Come sit with us. We’d love to have you.
