You are still here. That matters. You survived days you thought would overwhelm you. You walked through disappointment you never expected. You prayed when you did not know what else to do. You got up when staying down would have been easier. You kept believing, even when your faith felt smaller than your fear. That is endurance. And somewhere along the way, healing began. Maybe you did not notice it because you were looking for one dramatic moment when everything suddenly felt better.
But healing often happens quietly. You realize you went an entire day without thinking about what happened. You laugh again, and the laughter is real. You sleep peacefully. You begin making plans for the future. You pray about something other than the pain. You recognize that the thing that once consumed your thoughts no longer controls your life. Those are victories. Do not minimize them. As this week closes, look back and recognize the evidence of God’s presence.
You may still have healing ahead of you, but you are not where you started. God has been close. God has been carrying you. God has been strengthening you. And God has been healing you, sometimes so quietly that you almost missed it. So before you enter the weekend, say this over your life: The hurt did not destroy me. The pain did not define me. God did not leave me. And my story is not over. Hurt doesn’t win. God is still healing.
“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
Lord,
Thank You for carrying me through another week. Today I pause long enough to recognize how faithful You have been. Thank You for every prayer You heard, every tear You saw, every moment You strengthened me, and every place where healing has already begun. Forgive me for overlooking the small victories. Help me see how far You have brought me. As I enter the weekend, give rest to my body, peace to my mind, and continued healing to my heart.
I trust You with the places that still hurt, and I praise You for the places that no longer hurt the way they once did. You have been close. You are close now. And I trust You to remain close as You continue writing my story.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
