This week, you have been reminded that your story did not end with disappointment. Your future was not canceled. Your purpose was not erased. And the years you thought were wasted are not beyond God’s ability to redeem. Now comes the invitation: Believe again. Not because you know exactly what will happen next. Not because every question has been answered. Not because everything you lost has already been restored. Believe because you know Who holds what comes next.
Restoration does not always mean God gives you back exactly what you lost. Sometimes He restores peace. Sometimes confidence. Sometimes joy. Sometimes purpose. Sometimes relationships. Sometimes opportunities. And sometimes God gives you something so different from what you expected that eventually you understand why He would not allow you to remain where you were. As this week closes, stop measuring God’s ability by what you can currently see. There is still life ahead. There is still purpose ahead.
There is still joy ahead. There are still prayers to pray, people to love, places to serve, dreams to pursue, and moments you have not yet experienced. You have not seen everything God can do with your story. So enter the weekend with expectation. The loss was real. But loss does not get the final word. God does. Your future is not canceled. Hurt doesn’t win. And God is still restoring.
“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten…”
Joel 2:25 (NIV)
Lord,
Thank You that my story continues. Thank You for reminding me this week that what I lost does not determine what You can still restore. I release regret. I release disappointment. I release the timeline I thought my life had to follow. Restore my expectation. Give me courage to dream again and faith to walk toward what You have next. As I enter the weekend, help me look forward instead of backward. I trust the Author of my story with the chapters I have not yet lived. My future is not canceled. My purpose remains. And my hope is in You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
