Healing Lives in the Return
Dear Friend,
Every Wednesday, I sit with God and ask Him what He wants to say to us in our waiting seasons. This week, He brought me back to a simple, powerful truth, the healing lives in the return.
In Luke 17, a group of people received healing, but only one came back to say thank You. Jesus looked at that moment and called it faith. Not the request. Not the miracle. The return.
That tells us something important about God and about us. There is something spiritually transformative that happens when we come back to Him with a grateful heart.

Why returning matters
I call this the spiritual psychology of return. Every time you come back to God with gratitude, something inside you reshapes. Your mind learns a new pattern. Your heart finds steadiness. Your spirit remembers where home is.
Gratitude does not erase hurt. It simply keeps hurt from becoming the whole story. It pulls your focus back to center and back to hope. It reconnects you to the God who sees you, knows you, and walks with you through every waiting place.
What gratitude begins building in you
- A pattern of repetition that strengthens faith
- A calmer, more centered internal world
- A new way of noticing God’s presence in your everyday life
- A protective boundary against the weight of discouragement
Hurt may be part of your story right now, but it does not get to be the narrator. Gratitude helps you reclaim the microphone.
Your invitation this week
I want to invite you to do something simple. Choose one moment each day to pause and return to God. Say, “Lord, here I am. Thank You for being here with me.”
It does not need to be fancy or long. It just needs to be honest.
Healing lives in the return. Strength meets you in the return. Hope rises in the return.
While you wait, I am praying that every step back toward God becomes a step deeper into peace.
