Welcome HOPErs!
Hi there, and welcome to While You Wait Ministries. Before you scroll to the next thing, take a breath. Your waiting season is not wasted time—it's a divine classroom where God is preparing you for what's ahead. Here, we gather to remember that hope still works, healing still happens, and you're not waiting alone.
You're right where you're meant to be. Let's wait well together.
With love and expectancy,
Rev. Dr. Lael C. Melville
Founder, While You Wait Ministries

There are places in you that people cannot reach.
Not because no one cares. But because the wound is too deep, the exhaustion too real, or the thing you’re carrying too hard to put into words. You’ve tried to explain it. Maybe you’ve stopped trying. Either way, you still feel it.
God knows exactly where that place is in you.
Isaiah 66:13 says: “As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.”
Not eventually. Not once you’ve cleaned yourself up or found the right words. Now. The way a mother moves toward a child who is struggling. Not with a lecture, not with a list of what to do next, but with presence. With steadiness. With the kind of care that doesn’t need you to perform in order to receive it.
That’s what God is offering your heart today.
Not surface comfort. Not a quick word and a move on. He comforts without rushing. He restores without demanding. He knows how to hold the parts of you that feel like too much and the parts that feel like not enough, and He holds them both fully.
You are not too much. Your need is not too great. There is no version of your heart that is beyond what He can mother back to life.

Prayer
Father, there are places in my heart that I don’t even have words for. You know them. Meet me there today. I don’t need to have it together to receive Your care. Let me just be present with You right now. Amen.
One Thing for Today
Set a timer for five minutes. No music, no phone, no to-do list running in your head. Just sit and let God be present with you.
You don’t have to feel anything. You don’t have to pray perfectly. You just have to show up. That’s enough.
You Don’t Have to Walk Through This Alone
If this met you somewhere real today, there’s a place for you to keep going.
The HOPErs Community is walking through Cover and Care all month long and it’s free to join. Inside, you’ll find daily Prayer and Perspective, While You Wait Wednesday teachings from Dr. Lael, and a community of women who are done pretending they have it all together.
Come as you are. The door is open.
